»Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella« - The new Exhibition on the CULT FILM
Moritzburg Castle is famous as a Baroque Hunting and Pleasure Castle of Augustus the Strong; but since 1974 also as the backdrop for the film of the Czech-German cult fairytale »THREE HAZELNUTS FOR CINDERELLA«. Back then, nobody would have expected this film to become one of the most favoured fairytale films today. Meanwhile, the film itself has become part of the castle’s history and is a must-see in every living-room at every Christmas.
The special exhibition of the same name on show in winter 2009/2010 attracted more than 150,000 visitors. This is now to be continued: FROM 5 NOVEMBER 2011, visitors may indulge then, always between November and February, in the history of one of the most beautiful fairytale films of all time.
On considerably larger area, the new exhibition will devote the film’s history and the stars in the film much more space. Also some of the Baroque festive halls in the castle and, of course, the original locations where the film was shot will be included in the new concept.
At the same time, the programme on offer will be extended for families with children and a programme of events will be accompanying the exhibition.
